I was the independent product designer for the Campbell Project, a personal project challenge to apply design thinking, usability principles and product strategy into practice. The envisioned Coutts banking application is a one-stop shop for everything wealth management at the fingertips of affluent clients.
My challenge was clear — to simplify the banking experience in an elegant and consistent fashion that meets the expectations of the affluent. I wanted to ensure that Coutts clients could freely manage and control their wealth with ability to visibly glance at their wealth overview and make payments with a simplified user flow.

Users report difficulty completing core tasks such as logging in, identifying payees and accessing wealth overviews, this has lead to user frustration. While the application maintains strong privacy and security measures, there are opportunities to improve inconsistent user flows and feature clarity, ensuring alignment with expectations for a premium, private banking experience.
By identifying this challenge, I saw it as a chance to add significant value by redefining how affluent clients access a one-stop shop of wealth management.

I designed wireframes as a structural layout to express bold ideas with precision. The wireframes I crafted were rough sketch solutions and low-fidelity wireframes outlining structural integrity, format and placement. The wireframes have a greyscale colour system, focusing on layout rather than colours, iconography or typography.

To truly empathise with the client, I developed a user persona in the theme of Coutts' exclusive social network platform, 440, to truly captivate user feelings and emotions.

User Scenario
Richard is alerted of a high-value transaction, he opens the app, reviews the transaction. The app confirms Richard's action instantly—fast, secure and effortless.
Approval Path
Richard recognises the transaction, reviews and approves it with Face ID, and sees a success message—fast, clear and secure.
Rejection Path
Richard does not recognise the transaction, and he rejects the transaction and locks his card, supported by clear instructions and next steps.
